About the experience
Wellness practice is a lifelong process. Everyone needs a good teacher / trainer / guru to get the wellness learning. What if you get a great teacher at a retreat centre which is a perfect place for the wellness learning.
Mr. R Ananda Kumar, author of many books and the wellness teacher, has been been teaching wellness and organizing wellness programs since 2006. He has setup a Retreat Centre specifically for wellness teaching like Yoga, Meditation, Mud therapy, Musical therapy and many other wellness teachings. He has created the micro forest over the years with so much bio-diversity. Retreat centre is a lifestyle learning centre situated on the banks of river Siruvani near Vada Kottathara which is close to Anaikatti. Anaikatti is on the way to Silent Valley National Park from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

- Meditation - This place is perfect for those who like meditation / silence. You can do Sunrise Meditation or Meditation in the Meditation hall surrounded by forest or open eyes Fireflies meditation or River watching meditation or Sarva Roopa Dhyana and so on.
- Riverside Experience - Siruvani river runs along this forest farm. You can take a dip, play in the water or sit on rock in the middle of the river and watch the river flowing gently.
- Trek - this places is surrounded by small hills and hillocks. The group can do trek to get refreshing feel and experience of the abundance of mother nature.
- Tribal Temple - there is a beautiful tribal temple nearby. One can visit there to get the local culture.

Notes
- Must Read before booking - This is not a resort or a home stay. Its a retreat centre with basic stay inside micro forest. Insects will be there. Once you understand the importance of those creatures, you will not mind disturbing them. Minimum of 30 mins silence / meditation would be required in the morning and in the evening with some volunteering work inside the Retreat or outside the retreat to give back something to the environment that gives all to us and to the people around us to have the feeling of oneness.
General Itinerary
Day 1
- Settling down - By evening, arrive at the Retreat Centre, Get the room allocation, Introduction with everyone, do a walk around the centre, enjoy your coffee / tea
- Fireflies gazing / Meditation: Watch fireflies around 7:00 to 7:45 PM. Because this place is maintained like a forest, there are more fireflies in the night. Show starts from 7 PM. Its watching a Fireflies show. March, April and May are the peak months. Still it is stunning in other months if there is no rain. After watching the show, you walk around the forest where you will see fireflies sparkling and glowing all around you. Its an exciting experience. It will be like you are walking on the dark sky with stars glowing around you. Show does not end there. You go to the river side, sit on the rock in the middle of the river and watch the forest to see the fireflies glowing. Its a must watch amazing experience indeed.
- Dinner - Dinner is generally light and includes fruits also.

Sleeping early to align with Biological clock - Retreat Centre strictly asks everyone to go to bed by 10 PM with all lights switched off to maintain sleeping early practice. 2017 Nobel prize was awarded
Jeffrey C. Hall, Michael Rosbash and Michael W. Young for their discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm. All it means that night for deep sleep.
Day 2
- Early rise & be in silence practice - You will get up early, assemble at the common hall between 6 and 7 AM and be in silence or meditation for 15 to 30 mins.
- Walking / hiking - enjoy walking around the micro forest or to the Sirvani River or to the nearby village. Tea / coffee will also be available.
- Unlimited breakfast - again, have a good breakfast with variety of items including fresh fruits. Choice of tea / coffee will also be available.
- Community service - Retreat centre believes that "giving" helps wellness a lot. As part of wellness learning, Community service is organized. Everyone will do selfless seva as per their choice. It could be a service at the retreat centre or near village or educating children, and so on.
- Wellness teachings and Meditation: Teacher meets all and provides wellness techniques, tips and teaching, followed by a Meditation.
- Delicious vegetarian lunch prepared using locally procured vegetables.
- Nature hiking / trekking: There will be a long trek or hiking to the nearby hill area to explore the place and to have good exercise.
- Yoga - You will attend an hour of yoga session where you will learn Pranayama techniques.
- Fireflies gazing / Meditation:
- Dinner - Dinner is generally light and includes fruits also.
- Sleeping early
Day 3
- Early rise & be in silence practice - You will get up early, assemble at the common hall between 6 and 7 AM and be in silence or meditation for 15 to 30 mins.
- Light trekking / hiking - Someone will guide you to trek to the nearby hills to get a view of top of the hills view
- Filling Breakfast - again, have a good breakfast with variety of items including fresh fruits. Choice of tea / coffee will also be available.
- Community service - repeat of community service for an hour.
- Mud Therapy - Retreat centre has facility to do mud therapy. You can get mud therapy to rejuvenate your body and mind.
- Delicious vegetarian lunch prepared using locally procured vegetables.
- Experience Sharing and leaving retreat centre with great learning and fine memories
